ONE:
Angle.
PEGASUS is leading with her bow in a dive, or more precisely, what is about to become a plummet.
IRON CROWN is passing directly overhead.
We can see the WINGS beginning to deploy along PEGASUS’ HULL.
1. WEST/yell: —sweep the wings!!!
TWO:
New angle, along the hull of PEGASUS, as the WINGS sweep further out.
The ship is still falling, now tilting significantly to the fore.
NO COPY.
THREE:
And the WINGS extend fully, locking into place.
2. SFX: CHAK
Woohoo!
Sweep the leg Johnny!
I can’t wait to see the look on Han’s face
Nice move m’lady. Now we have the Iron Crown running at right angles to the Pegasus (which has to be more manoueverable). Must be time to turn and run…
I note that the keel gun has retracted as the wings extend.
I also wonder where the wings were stowed. At least the individual sections are short enough to have fit in the hull. (I know, it’s Transformer tech… don’t ask too many questions.)
One thing I am curious about, though. It looks to me as if the wings of the figurehead have actually moved from the positions they held some 10 strips back, as if they are more of a front aerilon now, and not just a bit of decoration. Is this my imagination or something more subtle?
The wings looks as they might possibly telescope out in three sections for each wing, which would reduce the storage space needed considerably.
Hurm. The Pegasus’ figurehead has been, um, creatively drawn and sized throughout. But it would be cool if that’s part of the reconfiguration. (Compare this strip to parts 21, 27 and 36, at least.) The keel gun disappearing bothers me more since I can see it retracting but there wasn’t a command that I recall to do so.
Okay, engineer hat off and going back to enjoying the story. I’m waiting to see if Giselle plants another kiss on Drum during the battle. 😀
Yeah … that would be hot.
ANOTHER “Part Thirty Seven”, Eric? Tsk Tsk 😉
I only mention it to save confusion when searching the archives.
Tune in next week for the thrilling conclusion of our three part serial, “Part Thirty Seven!”
Awesome!
I hope we see some payback for the damage done (and the folks hurt) on the Pegasus.
The figurehead plays the part of forward canards for extra turning ability. YAY
