ONE:
On the QUARTER DECK, looking at SABRE. She’s standing on the RAILING. The mirth is gone. She knows just how grave this is, and the next maneuver will decide their survival.
1. SABRE: We’ll have to spill the sails.
TWO:
Reverse, WEST is reaching for SABRE, who hasn’t moved. We can see the SMOKE CLOUD, and the barest hint of IRON CROWN through it. The ships are coming very close now.
2. WEST: We’re not at pressure yet! They’ll ram straight through us!
3. WEST: Love and whole, woman—
THREE:
WEST yanks SABRE back, catching her, as a BARRAGE of FLYER SHOTS chew up the RAILING and DECK where she just stood, the FLYER screaming past.
4. WEST: —get down from there!
Is this one of those scenes where she gives him a medal for saving her life and then has him hung for touching her?
Court martial to follow….
Methinks his punishment will more of a tongue-lashing than anything else…
…after which, he might wish he’d been hanged.
I think not. As her number one, its his job to protect her from herself. leaders of her type don’t think twice about their own safety. But without her then what reason for the Pegasus and for her crew? She gives them purpose. He’s Riker to her Picard.
Agreed, I think Sabre will be briefly po’d but will forgive West. I’m more interested in what happens now that Giselle has hold of Drum’s belt. Methinks, there will be more than kissing in the offing! 😉
There’s such a thing as being too brave and then it becomes foolhardy. Sabre crossed that line and West pulled her back from it.
A touch of her charm will return, and she’ll smile and give Mr. West a kiss on the cheek with or without a ‘Thank you’ or a ‘Thank you’ without the kiss. Afterwards she’ll stand back up, get serious again and start giving orders, which Mr. West will bellow at the remaining crew. Maybe have Drake in the next strip, looking concerned for Sabre.
