Screen 1
ONE:
New angle, wide shot, now “on level” with the ships in the Aether.
We can see that PEGASUS has completed her larboard maneuver, and is now starboard-facing the SMOKE CLOUD, obscuring IRON CROWN, which is about to NOSE into the CLOUD.
PEGASUS has her cannon ports open, the starboard bristling with guns.
The THREE FLYERS are still in motion; ONE of them has completed a strafing run that will take it “below” the line of PEGASUS.
NO COPY.
Screen 2
ONE:
Beneath PEGASUS, angle as the KEEL GUN swivels about, tracking the FLYER from previous day, screen 2.
1. ERICH/keel gun: …c’mon, c’mon…
2. ERICH/keel gun: …Torque—
TWO:
On ERICH, in the KEEL GUN, lining up his shot. He’s shouting at Torque through the voice tube.
3. ERICH: —gimme the steam!
4. SFX: khk-hhSHSSSSS
THREE:
Angle on the KEEL GUN, as ERICH opens fire, leading a line of SHOTS that tear into the FLYER before it can pull up.
5. SFX: KATCH-A-KATCH-A-KATCH-A-KATCH-A-KATCH-A-KATCH-A-KATCH
the FLYER was doomed from the very start of battle .Thanks mates i can’t wait for the next one to come .
I like how calm Erich looks in his first panel. All yelling and gun fire up top, while he just chills out down below.
Looks fairly excited once he gets a target. And he’s pretty exposed down there. Nobody to provide him cover if they come from below.
Give them a broadside, Mr. Christian! sorry, had to.
I admit to being confused. How many flyers were launched: four or five? Drum took out one, Drake took out another, and Erich took out yet another.
So Sabre plans to shoot the enemy ship just as it emerges from the cloud and before the enemy has a chance to shoot back? Here’s hoping the Pegasus’ cannonballs can pierce the other ship’s armor.
The flyers were being launched in pairs of two, and from the look of it, there were three pairs, but that leaves one unaccounted for. Also, from American History cannonballs were useless against armor plating (The battle of Hampton Roads, though they refer to their projectiles as exploding shells), So unless the Pegasus has a special kind of cannonball, or the Iron Crown’s armor is only good for show, they’ll have to aim for the view ports or the sails and engines. Otherwise, all they’ll do is dent the armor.
