Love the perspective in the first panel.
Up is a “weather guage”.
Gravity seems to have full effect in the ether (you need the star-wood or something else to counter it), and there is air pressure. That means any object above another can convert height into speed. Was thinking before why not just make sure the motors work then kick them off the sides. The catapult and full engine spin mean they have full relative speed and can climb when released making them a threat much more quickly.
I have to say, this page is just gorgeous! Great color, nice action, fantastic design work – just love it!
