Screen 1
ONE:
SABRE now holding the TUBE in both hands, looking at it thoughtfully, as WESTFIELD speaks.
WESTFIELD is still eyeing the TUBE with suspicion.
1. WESTFIELD: The key, then. You know who holds it?
TWO:
SABRE sets the TUBE down gently on the TABLE.
2. SABRE: Not a clue.
THREE:
SABRE grins at WESTFIELD.
3. SABRE: But what is a key without its lock?
4. SABRE: Much like lovers, eager to be reunited…
FOUR:
On the TUBE, resting on the table. What secrets does it hold?
5. SABRE: What we need, West, is someone who can
hear their cries.
You two have me spoiled. This seems so small compared to the double doses you’ve got me used to. Don’t get me wrong, this more like what we do as a page, so I ain’t complaining. I’m just sayin’.
That last line is a page-turner.
I’ve been trying to vary the screen count, for Rick’s sake if not my own 😉
I hope that wine isn’t the good stuff…although I can’t imagine Lady Sabre would drink anything less.
Oh man, I want more, but I like the 4 panel page
Oh NOW she’s gentle with it! Last week she was pounding the livin’ daylights out of the thing, and now she ‘sets the TUBE gently on the TABLE’.
Hah! It’s not about the tube! It’s about her manner 😉
She is the Gatekeeper, looking for her Keymaster? 😉
(In the third panel an errant apostrophe made its way into “its”. It’s not in the script though.)
Believe it or not, we caught that, fixed it, and posted the wrong screen anyway.
lol… at least you caught it. I didn’t. Love both of your work.
There was a moment there… where I felt Milton Caniff must be guiding you. I cannot tell you how happy that makes me.
